Community Development

Social Development is a process of planned social change designed to promote well-being of the population as a whole in conjunction with the whole dynamic process of economic development. It is an approach to social welfare which offers an effective development response to the situation of a socially and or economically deprived population. It enables people to live happier, fuller and satisfying lives. Thus, social development programs encompass population holistically without impartiality.

The social Development Sector focuses holistic human development approaches.  It covers a wide range of programs like health, education, etc. that are very much emphasizing the principle of integral human development like physical, mental, spiritual, social, etc. development. Human Development Programs stem from these principles.  Some of these operate as separate entities while others are hosted under the Community Services Sector Thus, this sector deliberates on those programs housed under the Community Services Division like welfare, gender, youth, children, Non-Governmental Organizations and so on.  Therefore, the following is the information on activities undertaken within the Community Services Division in Enga province.
