Provincial Works & Technical Services (PWTS), the forefront of infrastructure development and technical expertise, dedicated to serving the Enga Provincial Administration. As the infrastructure implementing branch, we take pride in shaping the physical landscape and enhancing the socio-economic well-being of Enga Province. Our commitment extends to providing valuable technical advice to the administration, ensuring informed decisions and impactful development projects.

History

PWTS evolved over thirty (30) years from where the EPG formed Enga Engineering Limited as a quasi — government organization to administration and implement main EPG funded Road, Bridges and Building Projects.

Over the years, we have been at the forefront of infrastructure development in Enga Province, contributing to its growth and prosperity. Our dedication to excellence and community welfare has been the driving force behind our continued success.

PWTS Vision

To provide expert technical advice and implement infrastructure projects that enhance connectivity, accessibility, and socio-economic development in Enga Province.And to contribute to the improvement of essential services through impact infrastructure projects in main priority areas/sectors.

Core Functions

Infrastructure Implementation: We lead the planning, execution, and management of diverse infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and public facilities, to create a more connected and developed Enga Province.

Technical Advisory Services: Our team of skilled engineers, architects, and specialists conducts feasibility studies, project assessments, and offers technical expertise to the Enga Provincial Administration, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Sections

Oversee and provide strategic direction to all sections within the organization. Coordinate with other departments,stakeholders,and external agencies to ensure smooth operations. The office develops and implement policies,guidelines,and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity as a liaison between the department and higher authories,conveying important decisions and updates’ monitor budgetary allocations, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure effective utilization. Review and evaluate the performance of different sections to identify areas for improvement and growth. The office represents the organization at various events,meeting,and conferences to promote its objectives and achievements. It represents the PWTS branch and EPG in all Technical matters with stakeholders from the National Departments and Agencies.

Undertake planning and design of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and infrastructure. Supervise and manage construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.

Conduct feasibility studies and assess site conditions to determine the viability of proposed projects.

Oversee material procurement, resource allocation, and cost control during construction.

Monitor the progress of civil works, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.

Collaborate with other sections and departments to ensure the seamless integration of projects.

Maintain records and documentation related to civil engineering projects for future reference and analysis

Plan, design, and manage architectural projects in line with the organization’s objectives.

Prepare detailed architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications for construction projects.

Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of

Provide expert advice on building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainable design practices.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions and ensure that architectural projects are completed within budget and within the designated timeline.

Twenty-five years of stable leadership and consistent administrative machinery have resulted in EPG attracting more foreign government and NGO donor agencies to invest in all sectors in the province. ’This has been our strength and a Key strategy for addressing our development agendas.
